Navy SEAL Museum Receives Donation From Busch Family Foundation

Fort Pierce, Fla. – February 19, 2019 – The Navy SEAL Museum announced it has received a $12,000 donation from the Peter W. Busch Family Foundation (PWBFF). This is the fifth year the Museum has been chosen as a beneficiary of the PWBFF.

As owner and operator of Southern Eagle Distributing, Mr. Busch created the Peter W. Busch Family Foundation as a means to give back to local charities. The PWBFF hosts several fundraising events annually from which all proceeds benefit local organizations, including those supporting education, preservation of environment, and veterans. The funds from this most recent donation will help support the Museum’s core operational costs, including ongoing investments in renovation and improvement projects.

“We are proud to partner with the Busch Family Foundation and receive their generous donation,” said Rick Kaiser, Executive Director of the Navy SEAL Museum. “Their team is first-class and we have become close friends with many from Southern Eagle Distributing.”

The two organizations have a longstanding working relationship. The Museum relies on Southern Eagle Distributing and PWBFF to support various community events. In addition to financial contributions to local businesses, Southern Eagle Distributing is dedicated to giving back through volunteer hours with countless community projects, as well as beverage donations. The Peter W. Busch Family Foundation has given generously to numerous charities throughout the Treasure Coast with monetary donations.

“Southern Eagle Distributing, Inc. and the Peter W. Busch Family Foundation are extremely proud to support the Navy SEAL Museum, all that they provide for our community, and what they represent,” said Philip A. Busch, President of Southern Eagle Distributing. “Ft. Pierce, Florida is where this elite team of our military was developed during World War II, and we are proud to partner with the Museum to help showcase what the Navy SEALs have done for our great country and continue to do each and every day. If you have not visited the Navy SEAL Museum, I would encourage everyone to stop by and see all of the work they have done to showcase the Navy SEALs and our incredible community.”

About The Navy SEAL Museum

The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum is the only museum dedicated solely to preserving the history of the U.S. Navy SEALs and their predecessors. Located in Fort Pierce, Florida, the Museum resides on the training grounds of the original Navy combat swimmers, the Frogmen. Built to honor the men who served with fortitude and ingenuity, the Navy UDT-SEAL Museum first opened its doors on Veterans Day in 1985. From humble beginnings, the facility has experienced tremendous growth, achieving national stature in 2007. The main objective of the Museum remains the promotion of public education by providing the opportunity to explore the history of the Navy SEALs through interactive exhibits, while honoring the fallen at the SEAL Memorial and caring for those warriors’ families through Trident House Charities.
